Shared by celebrity nutritionist Munmunganeriwal, this soup contains two of his very healthy ingredients: amla and ginger. Helps detox:

Both amla and ginger are stores of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that help promote detoxification and prevent free radical damage in the body.

Promote immunity:

Amla is a storehouse of vitamin C and ginger contains a compound called gingerol. Together both nutrients strengthen the immune system and nourish you from the inside out.

Digestive:

This soup is also great for digestion. The fiber in amla helps regulate bowel movements, and the gingerols in ginger help with gastrointestinal motility, further enhancing gut health.

Boost Lung Health:

Amla and ginger have been found to be rich in health-beneficial properties, and are also known to help prevent lung-related problems, especially in asthmatics.

Promotes Good Skin:

How to make amla ginger soup:

  • Pressure cook 3 amla and 1 inch ginger in approximately 1 cup water. Add salt to taste and bring to a boil. Next, take out the amla, remove the seeds, and mash it well with the boiled ginger. Set the stock aside.
  • In another mixer grinder, add green chillies, cumin, curry leaves and peppercorns and grind coarsely. Heat the ghee and add hin, spice mix, haldi and ginger amla mix.
  • Mix everything together, add dashi stock and simmer well. Enjoy the soup as is, or strain to avoid coarse masala pieces.
